The Impact Attenuator Universal Sand Barrel with 3M reflective sheeting is manufactured by blow-molded process that produces a stronger and very durable barrel capable of withstanding heavy impacts. The sand barrel system is designed for use in posted speed limits from 25-70 MPH.
Universal Sand Barrel System is a non-redirective, Impact sand barrel, or crash cushion. The system is comprised of 3 components: barrel, lid and insert. The one size universal sand barrel accommodates all weight requirements, this will eliminates the need to stock different sizes barrels and reduces inventory costs. Fully certified and tested to meet or exceed all NCHRP-350 Level 3 requirements.
