Solar powered Elevated Runway Light, medium-intensity (MIRL) has a revolutionary design that utilizes six special high intensity LED's to project a very bright omnidirectional pattern. Two inch standard thread to connect to existing bases makes this a grate solution for temporary runway lighting or replacements for damaged runway edge lights during repair. Operation:
To operate simply switch ‘ON’ and the unit is ready for immediate operation, settings can be set to either steady-on or flashing operation. The internal solar module charges the battery during daylight hours, and at dusk the light will automatically begin operation once the ambient light threshold drops sufficiently. Flat discharge curve of battery coupled with advanced circuit design enables the light to run at constant brightness each night of operation.
High-performance internal solar modules power the Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) rechargeable batteries housed in a self-contained water tight compartment. Fresnel lens are made of very durable, high impact, UV stabilized LEXAN® Polycarbonate, this will hold up under the most extreme conditions.
